Birthday Gift Ideas for a 7-year old

I can’t even believe I’m writing this, but our eldest daughter will be 7 soon. 7!! How did that even happen?! She’s at the age where she has a few items on her birthday wish list that she would be ecstatic to receive. The other suggestions are mine.

If you happen to be shopping for a gift for a 7-year old sometime in the future, here are some things I know would be a hit with my girl! And who am I kidding, this list is for future me as well. One day I’ll be looking for a gift for a 7-year old and I’ll have no idea what a 7-year old enjoys anymore!! Hopefully this list can help us both.

Gift ideas for a 3 year old

Last year I wrote a post about tried and tested gifts suitable for a 2 year old. Before Baby E, I always used to find it a bit challenging shopping for children’s birthday gifts. It was difficult to know what gifts would be a hit, and which would miss the mark … until I had a little live-in tester of my own! Baby E just recently celebrated her 3rd birthday, and she was very lucky to receive some really lovely gifts. For anyone shopping for a gift for a 3 year old this summer, here are some of our favorites that you might look into. And who am I kidding, I’m writing this for myself too!  I’m fairly sure that when Emma is grown, and I’m buying gifts for little ones in the future, I’ll need to look back at this post! I already had troubles remembering what a good gift for a 1-year old might be!

Tried & tested gift ideas for a toddler!

Before we had Baby E, I often found it tricky buying gifts for my friends’ kids. I was never really 100% sure whether what I had chosen was the right age level, or something that they would enjoy. I admit to googling things such as “best gift ideas for a two year old”, or heading straight for a toy store employee to ask for their recommendations! I had the best intentions, but I didn’t know enough little children to see what toys were hits, and which were only used for a few hours and then discarded and forgotten!
